ABAP

ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) is the language used for carrying out developments within SAP ERP / APO and other products. Thus Customers can develop custom reports / interfaces using ABAP programming. The language was geared towards more technical customers with programming experience. It is extracted from the base computing languages Java, C, C++ and Python.

All ABAP programs reside inside the SAP database. They are not stored in separate external files like Java or C++ programs.  In the database all ABAP code exists in two forms: source code, which can be viewed and edited with the ABAP Workbench tools; and generated code, a binary representation.

SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)

SAP Cloud Platform Integration service helps you to connect cloud and and on-premise applications, with other SAP and non-SAP, cloud and on-premise applications. SAP Fiori is a new user experience (UX) for SAP software and applications. It provides a set of applications that are used in regular business functions like work approvals, financial apps, calculation apps and various self-service apps. SAP Fiori enables multiple device applications that allow users to start a process on their desktop/laptops and to continue that process on a smartphone or on a tablet. SAP has developed Fiori Apps based on User Interface UI5.
